How to Use Retinol 1.0
1
Prep + Dispense
Having cleansed your face, apply a thin layer of the moisturiser and allow to dry (regardless of concentration, retinol should not be applied to damp skin as it may be absorbed more deeply and cause irritation). Once skin is dry, apply a pea-sized amount of Retinol 1.0 night cream, closely followed by a second layer of moisturiser to sandwich moisture in. Allow for full absorption before applying other products and limit initial use of retinol to once or twice weekly. Gradually increase the frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerance builds. SkinCeuticals recommends users new to retinol start with Retinol 0.3 , progress to Retinol 0.5 and only then to Retinol 1.0.

Retinol is prone to increase skin photosensitivity, so ALWAYS use a high SPF, broad spectrum sunscreen during the day.
As a precaution, retinol cream products should not be used by pregnant women, or women who intend to become pregnant soon. Always consult a healthcare professional before using.
