This effective micro exfoliating scrub combines 2.0% hydrated silica (silicon dioxide), glycerin, and aloe extract for enhanced yet gentle exfoliation.

The natural cell cycle for all skin types results in a layer of dead skin cells on the skin's surface, which if it's alowed to build up can clog pores, roughen skin texture and unbalance skin hydration. When this happens, the skin moisture barrier (outermost layer of skin) becomes compromised. A weakened skin moisture barrier can’t effectively protect skin from external stressors like pollution and irritants.

This exfoliating scrub for normal, oily, combination and dry skin types removes dead skin cells with the physical exfoliant hydrated silica. Once debris has been lifted and removed, glycerin (a humectant) and aloe vera extract help to re-establish hydration levels.

Massage a coin-sized amount of this scrub gently onto your wet face and neck. Work the exfoliating scrub gently into your skin using a light circular motion to help remove dead skin cells, built-up dirt and impurities. Allow a couple of minutes for the ingredients to do their work, then rinse with warm water and pat dry. Do not tug or drag your skin when drying. This gentle face exfoliator is non-comedogenic (doesn't block pores), making it suitable for oily, acne-prone skin types. Is SkinCeuticals Micro-Exfoliating Scrub suitable for sensitive skin type?

Micro-Exfoliating Scrub may not be suitable for sensitive skin types. Although it's a gentle exfoliating face scrub, it's designed for use on dry, normal, oily and combination skin types. For sensitive skin types, SkinCeuticals recommends using a chemical exfoliant, such as found in Blemish + Age Cleansing Gel and the Blemish & Age Toner. Unlike physical exfoliants, chemical exfoliants contain acids or enzymes to help remove dead skin cells and built up impurities.

What should I do after using SkinCeuticals Micro-Exfoliating Face Scrub?
