How to Use H.A. Intensifier

Prep + Dispense

Use this corrective hyaluronic acid serum for the face either after cleansing with SkinCeuticals Gentle Cream Cleanser or a facial exfoliator, such as SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Cleansing Gel. Apply 4-6 drops of the hydrating serum to clean, dry skin using the palm of your hand, and gently press into your forehead, cheeks, chin and neck.

Apply + Complete

Massage any excess hyaluronic acid serum into skin in an outward direction to promote micro-circulation. Once absorbed, apply a face moisturiser on top to seal in hydration.

How do you use H.A. Intensifier Hyaluronic Acid Serum?

Because hyaluronic acid is a humectant that tends to attract and retain moisture from its surroundings, we recommend using it on damp skin. If applied to completely dry skin, it may not hydrate as expected and lead to skin feeling tight or dry. In the morning, use H.A. Intensifier after a SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum, and before a face moisturiser and sunscreen. Apply 3-4 drops to damp palms or damp skin on the face. Dab gently onto forehead, cheeks, chin, and neck and let it absorb before moving onto the next step. H.A. Intensifier can be used twice a day and paired with a retinol cream in your night routine.

Should I use H.A. Intensifier Serum in the morning or at night?

Do you use H.A. Intensifier Serum before or after retinol?

If you're using a retinol serum in your routine, SkinCeuticals recommends layering your hyaluronic acid serum AFTER the retinol, as this will help lock in moisture. However, if you're using a high concentration retinol cream, such as SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.3 Anti-Ageing Night Cream, we recommend applying H.A. Intensifier before the retinol as well, to help create a moisture barrier ands minimise any potential irritation. This layering of hyaluronic acid both before and after retinol is especially useful if you have sensitive skin and is known as the “sandwich method”.
