What is Proxylane?

ProXylane is a sugar protein hybrid that is derived from a natural sugar called Xylose, found in beechwood trees. It helps stimulate the production of Glycosaminoglycans or GAGs that play a crucial role in the cell signaling process such as cell renewal, water loss, etc. ProXylane also supports the most important structural proteins of the skin which are collagen and elastin. With age, we begin to lose GAGs leading to loss of elasticity in the skin, dry skin, dull skin and more.

What are the benefits of ProXylane on the skin?

ProXylane is sugar protein derived molecule that helps address anti-ageing skin concerns by that support the skin structure. What’s the difference between ProXylane and Hyaluronic Acid?

ProXylane is a sugar protein molecule derived from a naturally occurring sugar called Xylose found abundantly in beech trees. ProXylane acts as an activator to help stimulate production of Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) that deplete with age. Hyaluronic acid is an example of Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). Therefore, ProXylane helps stimulate and play a crucial role in cell signaling process for renewal, repair, and production of proteins such as collagen and hyaluronic acid that deplete with age.

Can I use ProXylane with Retinol?

Yes! ProXylane and retinol can be used together within the same skincare routine. ProXylane is a versatile ingredient and can be used in tandem almost all skincare ingredients . If using with a pure retinol product such as the SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.3% Night Cream , the retinol cream is recommended to be applied first and then followed with an anti ageing cream such as the A.G.E Interrupter Advanced containing ProXylane to help seal in moisture. Retinol increases sun sensitivity it is always recommended to finish skincare routines with a broad spectrum SPF50+ sunscreen in the day.
